Almost identical to CS Version, but already made fully compatibile with Extended Timeline.
However, it will still require some understanding of the files and willingness to resolve file conflicts to make this version fully compatible with most major mods (but only for a very small number of files that I have documented and commented in the mod).
This alternative version is here for users who would like to get this mod to work with other major mods, as it is much easier to resolve some conflicts for than the main version. More easily compatibile with other mods.If this version crashes with your other mods, and you would like to get it working with them, the CS version below may be more helpful. Available through workshop subscription, or direct download.Incompatibile with mods which add or remove buildings.Uses development buildings and the Development Budget to increase development.Does NOT require the expansion Common Sense. In the CS and ET versions below, development is instead increased through the vanilla Common Sense interface (clicking the development buttons), taking money directly from the treasury. Money in the development budget can be withdrawn back out at any time, and there's a "mapmode" that will show the approximate local cost of provinces as well with color-coded province icons (displaying development cost directly in the provinces is unfortunately impossible). In the main version (shown in the screenshots above) development is increased by putting money into the "development budget" and then constructing a development building that will quickly be replaced by a point of the relevant development. The only balance changes are some penalties for tiny countries to mitigate overdevelopment, otherwise the mod will use existing scripted development cost modifiers (including from other mods). Increasing development will also boost local institutions, as it does in vanilla, but only for vanilla institutions.
The base cost is 100 ducats per development, multiplied by all vanilla development cost modifiers and inflation (although the effect of Development Efficiency from tech is unsupportable). This mod allows allows for the development of provinces by spending ducats, instead of monarch points.
